Criteria for inclusion in the blacklist

New sites will be included in the blacklist according to the criteria set out below, which have been developed through consensus by reddit users.

Unacceptable practices:
  1. Actively removing or obscuring artist tags - Automatic blacklisting
  2. Marking images that they did not create with their own logos is bad - Automatic blacklisting
  3. Copyright violations - without credit - Automatic blacklisting
  4. Copyright violations - with credit - with advertising - Put to vote
  5. Copyright violations - with credit - without advertising - Put to vote
  6. Using creative commons/public domain material - without credit - with or without advertising - Automatic blacklisting
  7. Using creative commons/public domain material - with credit - with advertising - Put to vote
Acceptable practices:
  1. Using creative commons/public domain photos - with credit - without advertising
  2. Using creative commons/public domain photos - with credit - with advertising - with significant value addition
A site may appeal to have their blacklisting revoked, provided they do not violate conditions (1),(2), and (3) in the unacceptable practices section. A site may make one appeal per month, and then a vote will be conducted to decide the whether or not to delist the site.
